Other benefits and refunds in respect of work-related accidents or occupational diseases

An insured person who has sustained an accident at work or contracted an occupational disease may claim additional support from ZUS:

The Social Insurance Institution may cover the costs of:

• effects of an accident at work or occupational disease connected with dentist services and prophylactic vaccinations, to which the insured person was referred by ZUS evalu- ating doctor at the request of the attending physician (if such costs are not subject to refund pursuant to separate legislation);
• medical devices – to an amount equal to that financed by the insured person, fixed by the legislation on health care benefits financed from public funds.
