Everyone has the right to:

We will respond to your request as soon as possible, no later than 7 days after receiving it.

If we are unable to provide the digital accessibility of the website or content indicated in your request, we will offer you access to it in an alternative way.
Handling of requests and complaints regarding accessibility
If, in response to your request to ensure digital accessibility, we refuse to provide the digital accessibility you require and you do not agree with this refusal, you have the right to lodge a complaint.
You also have the right to file a complaint if you do not agree to the use of an alternative means of access that we have proposed in response to your request to ensure digital accessibility.
Complaints regarding the digital accessibility of a website or a website element are handled in accordance with the provisions of Section VIII of the Act of 14 June 1960 – Code of Administrative Procedure.
The complaint should include:
- the name of the complainant,
- the address (indicating the town, street, house and flat number) of the complainant,
- the content of the complaint or request (the content can be expressed in any way, but it is important that it is possible to determine the subject of the complaint on its basis).
A complaint that does not contain the name and address of the complainant will not be considered.
You can submit a complaint in writing to any local branch of the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) or to the ZUS Headquarters:

You can also file a complaint verbally for the record (in this case, the protocol is signed by the complainant and the person accepting the complaint).

Both versions of the application are partially compliant with the Digital Accessibility Act.

Area around the building, car park and entrance
There is a direct access road to the main entrance. The area around the building is paved.
We have designated 4 parking spaces for people with disabilities. These spaces are closest to the main entrance to the building.
There are no steps at the entrance. The door opens automatically. The glass door has contrasting stripes.
Assistance and guide dogs are allowed in the building.
Reception
The reception with two information desks is located directly in front of the entrance.
The reception desk can be lowered to make it easier for wheelchair users to use.
The hearing impaired desk is marked with a crossed-out ear symbol. Two receptionists can communicate in basic sign language.
Rest of the building
There is a separate room near the reception for confidential discussions.
The transition to the rest of the building is secured with gates. They can be crossed with a wheelchair.
The slope of the ramp does not exceed 8%. The doors do not have thresholds and their width is at least 90 cm.
The building does not have any Braille markings, high-contrast markings, enlarged lettering, acoustic navigation systems or typhlomaps.
The toilets are accessible for people with disabilities.
The stairs in the main hall of the building are equipped with handrails and are marked with contrasting (black) stripes.
Lifts
The lifts are accessible for people with disabilities. All floors can be reached by lift.
Some lifts are equipped with voice announcements and selected buttons are labelled in Braille to make them accessible for blind people.
Customer service rooms in our branches
We serve customers at our branches, inspectorates and field offices. We have defined standards for serving people with disabilities. Most of our branches meet these standards. Some buildings are still being adapted, and some are awaiting modernisation.
Accessibility of communication and information
Deaf people can talk to a Social Insurance Institution employee in Polish sign language (PJM) during an e-visit.
There is no induction loop in the building. However, we provide translation in accordance with the Act on Sign Language and Other Means of Communication.
